This week’s Google Workspace update brings four key changes that affect how users work with AI, design visuals, and manage forms.

Starting June 2, Gemini conversation history settings, previously configurable by admins, will begin applying to users. This rollout hits both Rapid and Scheduled Release domains and affects anyone using the Gemini app.

Google Workspace also expanded its background removal tool in Slides, Drawings, and Vids. Previously limited to English, the feature now supports 20+ languages. It’s available to Business Standard and Plus, Enterprise plans, and Gemini add-on customers.

In Google Forms, a new setting now lets users contact the form owner directly. This helps responders ask questions or flag issues without needing extra tools. The feature is rolling out to Rapid Release domains now and reaches Scheduled domains by June 10.

Google’s final update lets users translate the Workspace Updates blog into 100+ languages using the website’s footer menu. Mobile users can access it by switching to the web version.

In related updates, Gmail now shows Gemini-generated summary cards on mobile. Google Drive adds video engagement stats. And Chat summaries now work in four more languages.

Google continues to layer in more features week by week, but these four updates are now live or rolling out.
