Google unveils new Google Shopping experience to take on Amazon

In the e-commerce space, Amazon is a clear leader. Since consumers are now spending most of the time shopping inside Amazon, product advertisers are now flocking to Amazon for shopping ads. In order to win back consumers and advertisers for ad dollars, Google has revealed a redesigned Google Shopping experience through which consumers can discover and compare millions of products from thousands of stores.

As part of this Google Shopping experience, shoppers will have a personalized homepage on the Shopping tab on Google. In this Shopping tab, they can filter products based on features, brands, read reviews and even watch videos about the products.

For some products, shoppers can directly add products to their cart. Yes, Google will make sure to deliver the right product to you and you can come back to Google for issues like late delivery, refund on damaged products, etc.

Shoppable ads on Google Images allows advertisers to highlight multiple products within their sponsored ad. Google is planning to expand this Shoppable ads to the feed on Discover, YouTube and more.
