At Google I/O yesterday, Google announced an exciting new feature coming to Google Search app. This upcoming update will allow users to view and interact with 3D objects in AR. For example, when you search for shark, Google will provide an option in Knowledge Panel to view shark in 3D and AR.

With new AR features in Search rolling out later this month, you can view and interact with 3D objects right from Search and place them directly into your own space, giving you a sense of scale and detail.

Google is also working with partners like NASA, New Balance, Samsung, Target, Visible Body, Volvo, Wayfair and more to bring their 3D content in Search.
