Microsoft G Suite

Google yesterday announced that it is increasing the price of G Suite by 20 percent. This is the first time Google is increasing the price of its productivity suite since its launch. G Suite Basic Edition will increase by $1 (from $5 to $6 per user/month) and G Suite Business Edition will increase by $2 (from $10 to $12 per user/month). Pricing for G Suite Enterprise Edition customers will remain the same. This pricing change will take effect from April 2, 2019.

This price change by Google makes G Suite costlier than equivalent Office 365 offerings. For example, Office 365 Business Essentials (equivalent of G Suite Basic) costs only $5 user/month and Office 365 Business Premium (equivalent of G Suite Business) costs only $12.50 per user/month. It is important to note that for the extra $0.5 you pay for Office 365 Business Premium when compared to G Suite, you get desktop versions of Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access and Publisher. Also access to premium business applications like Outlook Customer Manager, Microsoft Invoicing, Microsoft Bookings, and MileIQ.
