Google is rolling out a new update to Maps which now shows much more than just the route. Google Maps had been lacking some of the features which were present in Waze which is another navigational app by Google.

Now Google is bringing Waze’s features to Google Maps as well. The new update for Google Maps is now bringing speed traps and vocal warnings to Google Maps. The speed traps will now show up when someone maps navigation from point A to B. Google will even play an audio cue when approaching a speed camera.

Unfortunately, this is a server-side update hence, it’s rolling out in batches so it might be a while before everyone gets the feature. While the feature is definitely useful, a general rule of thumb should be to avoid overspeeding.
