Google has improved its YouTube Premium offering by extending the quality range users can download videos. Now, users can download video in Full HD where they were limited to 720p HD in the past. Google has confirmed that it will be rolling out the change to all users in Premium countries gradually, so you may not see it immediately.

While 1080p is a decent improvement, the firm lets users upload up to 4K video on the platform. With phone screens becoming better and better and storage allocations becoming fatter and fatter, there’s an argument to be made for Google to go above FullHD for its premium subscribers.

YouTube Premium is available in over 60 countries at the moment.
