Google has announced that they’ll be hosting a gaming keynote at GDC 2019.

While all contents of the show are currently secret, it will presumably include new details on the previously announced Project Stream.

Project Stream is an interesting new entry in the growingly-popular game streaming services. While recent testing allowed beta testers to play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in their browsers, Google has recently gone quiet on the subject.

With PlayStation Now, Shadow and the upcoming Project xCloud, game streaming is already becoming a bloated new endeavor.  How Project Stream will break itself away from the crowd is yet to be seen.

As for its quality, Eurogamer’s Digital Foundry discovered that Project Stream was at least on par with other game streaming services.

Whereas xCloud is claiming to be playable on something as variable as mobile data, Google’s interpretation hasn’t claimed to be anywhere near as portable. Hopefully, it’ll still be a fantastic entry in this intriguing new format.
