Along with its new line of Pixel smartphones, Google today announced a new speaker for its Home line of smart speakers. The company today introduced the Google Home Mini, a much smaller version of the original Google Home.

Google’s Home Mini smart speaker comes in 4 different colors: Chalk, Charcoal, and Coral. The speaker weighs less than 500 grams and is quite small in size (4.53 x 4.53 x 4.72 inches). The speaker will feature Google Assistant just like the larger Google Home, but it obviously won’t have the good sound quality that you can get on the original Home. However, in terms of the voice commands, all the Google Assistant features that are available on the original Google Home will be available on the new Home Mini. The speaker also has LED indicators on top which will light up whenever Assistant is listening to you.

Google Home Mini will sell for $49 — which is the exact same price as the Amazon Echo Dot. Pre-orders start today, and shipments start on the 19th of October.
