At Google I/O Google gave Android users a nice present by vastly expanding the number of users who can test their latest beta of Android Q.

Android Q Beta 3 is now available for the following handsets:

Xiaomi Mi 9, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 5G, Asus Zenfone 5z, Essential Phone, Nokia 8.1, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, LG G8 ThinQ, OnePlus 6T, Oppo Reno, Realme 3 Pro, Sony Xperia XZ3, Tecno Spark 3 Pro, Vivo X27, NEX S, and NEX A.

The update brings a completely black Dark Theme which is also a system setting which apps can choose to respect.

The update also brings improved navigation gestures. The gestures are similar to those of the iPhone. Back is now a swipe over the pill from the left side of the screen, and swiping up brings up the app switcher.

Beta 3 also brings support for 5G and foldable displays.

It also being Live Captions, a feature which will automatically add captions to media playing audio on your phone. Smart Reply is now also built into the notification system. Focus Mode will block distracting apps while Digitial Well being is getting more tools. Family Link now also has Digitial Well Being integration and Bonus Time.

Android Q Beta 3 is now out for the Google Pixel, the Pixel XL, the Pixel 2, the Pixel 2 XL, the Pixel 3, the Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL, but the other handsets mentioned above can also enrol here.

The next beta, Beta 4, should be the last beta which brings the final APIs and the official SDK.
