Google today announced that Google Earth now supports Microsoft Edge, Firefox and Opera browsers. Google earlier used Native Client (NaCl) technology which limited Google Earth support to Google Chrome browser alone.

Google has now rebuilt Google Earth using WebAssembly, the W3C web standard for bringing native code to the web. Google is now polishing the Earth experience across Edge, Firefox and Opera browsers and also adding support for Safari.
