Microsoft today announced that global Azure customers can now get access to the three Azure regions in India: West India (Mumbai), Central India (Pune) and South India (Chennai). Just like other Azure regions, these three Azure regions in India will provide world-class reliability and performance combined with data residency in India. Organizations can also make use of data replication across these locations.

Right now, Microsoft Azure is seeing significant momentum in India. Recent Azure customer wins in India include Tata Motors, India’s leading auto manufacturer, Flipkart, India’s leading e-commerce platform and Kotak Mahindra, a leading private sector bank.
