Trekstor introduced a smartwatch powered by Windows 10 earlier this year. The company’s Windows 10 smartwatch sports a 1.54-inch display, and it’s not your run-of-the-mill smartwatch. Trekstor marketed the smartwatch towards its enterprise customers, and a big German-based hotel is already testing out the company’s smartwatch. Germany’s Steigenberger Hotels & Resorts is currently testing Trekstor’s Windows 10 smartwatch at its Frankfurt hotel, where the company is using the device to advance its customer service.

Steigenberger is using the smartwatch to make communication between its staff and management of its customers a lot more faster. The device can be used to store information about guests and their rooms, which can later be used by the company’s housekeeping staff to work efficiently without disrupting the experience for their customers. “We have a well-trained, motivated and enthusiastic team, but to get to an even higher level of service, we decided to implement a technology solution that allowed them to perform at an even greater level of productivity,” said Michael Weil the Manager of Hotel Operations at Steigenberger Airport Hotel in Frankfurt.
