Microsoft has announced the release of the revamp of the 2006 game, Gears of War: Reloaded. The remastered version will launch on August 26, 2025, marking its debut on the PlayStation 5. Players can also play the game on Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Steam and Microsoft Store), and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Priced at $39.99, the game will also be available on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass from day one.

Developed by The Coalition in collaboration with Sumo Interactive and Disbelief, Gears of War: Reloaded will be a visual delight with its 4K resolution and up to 120 FPS support. The remaster includes all content from Gears of War: Ultimate Edition. This includes the bonus campaign act, all multiplayer maps and modes, and a full roster of classic characters and cosmetics. Players who purchased the digital version of Gears of War: Ultimate Edition before May 5, 2025, will receive Reloaded as a free upgrade.

The game supports two-player co-op for the campaign and multiplayer for up to eight players, with cross-play and cross-progression across all platforms. This release aligns with Microsoft’s broader strategy of expanding its game availability across multiple platforms, following similar moves with titles like Forza Horizon 5.
