Everafter Falls has launched its major 2.0 update, and it’s shaped almost entirely by player feedback. Nearly a year after release, developer Akupara Games listened closely to the community to guide changes. Joseph Shockley, the community manager, opened feedback channels on Discord and Steam to hear directly from players.

One of the most requested fixes came from completionists. Many found it frustrating to finish the in-game journal due to random drop issues. Version 2.0 introduces two key items to help: the Golden Shroom Terrarium, which guarantees a missing shroom, and the Epic Critter Terrarium, which helps breed new insect types. These changes aim to ease collection efforts late in the game.

The update also expands decoration options, allowing players to customize their farms and homes even more. This came in response to positive feedback on the game’s visual creativity.

On the quality-of-life front, a simple but helpful fix was added—players can now see which items they’ve crafted with a blue star in the crafting menu. This change removes the need for external tracking tools.

With version 2.0 now live on Xbox, Everafter Falls shows how player voices can directly shape a game’s growth.
