Gameloft’s new Asphalt game, Asphalt OverDrive, is now in the Windows Phone Store.
The game is a spinoff from the Asphalt series and in it players will be able to escape from cops, do stunts, smash other drivers off the road, and race to gain control of some awesome Southern California inspired locations.
The game is a take-off of end-less runners and is played in vertical rather than horizontal orientation.
In the game players are challenged to unlock and drive 30 high-performance, fully licensed vehicles such as the iconic Lamborghini Countach and Ferrari Testarossa, improve and upgrade their car and challenge themselves with 7 different types of racing: Escape the police, defeat bosses, avoid obstacles, and perform impressive stunts while they race.
Players are able to connect to Facebook to play with or against their friends or challenge the whole world with teams and league championships.
The game features a unique retro look with a subtly retro “new ’80s” atmosphere and stunning visuals thanks to real-time lighting and particle effects.
Download the free game with in-app purchases from the Windows Phone Store here.
