According to EA, FIFA 14’s servers will be shut down in a few months. While many people always move onto the next FIFA game each year, there are still many who play previous titles. Well, on October 18, the game’s servers will cease to function. This includes all online services like Ultimate Team. For those wondering, Xbox One and Xbox 360 versions will be affected. No console is immune.

For those worried about achievements, you would be right to express concerns. FIFA 14 can’t be 100% anymore because EA stopped running Highlights of the Week. When the servers go down, you won’t be able to get many other achievements. So, hurry up and play that game before it becomes utterly pointless. While I wish EA would continue support, the player count is so low that it’s just not worth it in terms of cost.
