Facebook today released an update for Messenger in Windows Store, taking it to version 79.528.24456.0. There is no new change log in the Store listing, but the update appears to reverse some recent changes, removing support for landscape mode in Windows 10 Mobile (which was said to be glitchy in any case)  and also appearing to break notifications with an exclamation mark in settings indicating inactive notifications and no way to remove it. (Update: Apparently re-installing the app fixes the notification issue)

App features:

  • Get notifications so you never miss a message
  • See when you have messages waiting for you with a live tile
  • Send photos, videos, GIFs and more
  • Bring your conversations to life with stickers
  • Know when people have seen your messages
  • Create groups for the people you message most—name them and set group photos
  • Forward messages or photos to people who weren’t in the conversation
  • Search for people and groups to quickly get back to them

Download it here from Windows Store.
