Facebook today revealed a new company logo to distinguish it from the Facebook app. The current Facebook app will continue to keep its own branding. Facebook as a company that owns Messenger, Instagram, WhatsApp, Oculus, Workplace, Portal Calibra and others will start using the above new logo.
The new branding was designed for clarity, and uses custom typography and capitalization to create visual distinction between the company and app.
