F-Secure: Windows Phone Platform Is The Safest Mobile OS Available To Businesses

F-Secure today released its Mobile Security report which revealed that Windows Phone remains to be the safest Mobile OS available on the market right now. F-Secure security chief Mikko Hypponen told The Inquirer the following,
“Windows Phone is safe, we’ve seen no malware at all targeting the platform. You want a safe phone? Buy a Windows Phone,”
“At the moment Windows Phone is the safest, there is more malware for BlackBerry and more malware for the iPhone and definitely more on Android.”
“Windows Phone’s security model inside is quite restrictive. I think it’s going to take a while before we see Windows Phone being seriously targeted. I could be wrong, but my hunch says it will stay the safest,”
He also noted that malware and security threats on all other mobile platforms including Android, iOS and Blackberry exploded from last quarter, thanks to Android on which malicious installations grew 10 fold!
If you are a Windows Phone user, I think you are living a pretty safe mobile life compared to others.
