Error c101b00b–Marketplace down again: Update – Microsoft investigating


It seems Marketplace is having issues once again.  Many users from all around the world are reporting the inability to download new applications from Marketplace, with the error occurring on both NoDo and Mango handsets.

Marketplace has been having numerous issues over the last year,  both from an app ingestion point of view and less regularly from an app delivery side.

Microsoft has not yet released a statement on the issue.

Update: Microsoft has now released a statement and are investigating the issue, with a spokesman saying:

We have received reports that some customers are having intermittent problems downloading applications from the Windows Phone Marketplace. We are investigating these reports and addressing the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience and will provide an update when we have more to share.
