In recent weeks we saw the official approval of emulators for Windows Phone 7, but these do not really respect the rights of the original developers, who may still be making money from their retro games.

Such a company is Elite Systems, who is now concentrating on bringing their official games to mobile systems.

They have just discovered Windows Phone 7, and have brought their first game, Manic Miner, written by Matthew Smith in 1983, to Windows Phone 7.

The game features:

  • Reversable Virtual joystick and keys for control
  • Authentic gameplay experience
  • Authentic game sounds
  • Retro feel
  • Cheat Version
  • Auto Save upon exiting the game

manicminerqrThe game is a pricy $2.49 and is hopefully the first of many original retro games to come to Windows Phone 7.

Manic Miner can be found in Marketplace here.
