Its been a while since we posted any rumour originating with Russian blogger Eldar Murtazin, but one can not dispute that he often gets his hands on Nokia’s phones well before anyone else.

On this occasion he has spoken to Russian site Obozrevatel.com about Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 range, and has confirmed the specs of the Nokia Phi as we know it.

That includes that the screen of the Nokia Phi is a pocket-busting 4.7 inches, the same size as the HTC Titan and a new record for Nokia.

Of the AMOLED screen he writes: “The screen is very nice, with no points or complaints possible against it.”

He also confirmed the handset has microSD card slot and for the first time revealed the handset is thinner than the Nokia Lumia 800 and 900.

He did have one complaint however, noting despite the high capacity battery battery life is noticeable less than the Nokia Lumia 800 or 900, only lasting one day.

He said the range of 3 devices will be priced in Russia as $ 935 for the Phi, and then $ 780 and $ 650 for the lesser models.

He confirmed the handset would be announced on September 5th and hit the market in October.

He noted that handset will likely receive rave reviews, but will be overshadowed by the iPhone 5, with even the Samsung Galaxy S III expected to sit in the iPhone 5’s shadow.

I have no reason to doubt Eldar’s facts in this matter.  How do our readers feel about the information, especially the large-screened Nokia Phi? Let us know below.
