Bing AI chat is a work of wonder. It’s like ChatGPT meets the power of search indexes. And, in its recent development, we could be seeing an Edit button in Bing AI chat any time soon.

If you’re not familiar with the feature, the Edit button in Bing AI chat could let you edit the word prompts that you use. Then, once you hit Enter with the edit, the response will automatically regenerate itself using the new information.

The mentioned feature is currently accessible on Google’s chatbot, Bard, making it interesting to see Microsoft striving to catch up. In the past, the Redmond-based tech giant has made several enhancements to its AI chatbot to compete with Google, including voice input and image recognition. However, Google’s Bard has not fully mastered face recognition in images yet.

On Twitter, Microsoft’s Mikhail Parakhin, the CEO of advertising & web services, was asked about two features — an Edit button and a Regenerate response, similar to ChatGPT’s functionality. He mentioned that the team is actively working on implementing them and considering a more advanced interface tailored for “expert users.”

Speaking of the latter’s feature, if you’re not familiar with it, the button would work similarly to ChatGPT’s option. After the chatbot provides an answer, you can click on the Regenerate response button to request another answer, tailored to your preferences.
