Edge Canary for Android is now testing a new feature that would allow users to sync their saved passwords with their Microsoft Account.

This was discovered by Edge insider @Leopeva64, who shared screenshots of the feature on X (fka Twitter).

Starting from the upcoming version 121 of Edge, you can either sync your passwords to your Microsoft Account or export and delete them from your device.

Take a look at how it works below:

After tapping “Next”, you will be taken to a page where you can encrypt your sync data with a passphrase. You can also review your synced data and other settings on this page.

Maybe it’s a typo? Microsoft Edge is currently on version 119 for Canary and version 117 for Stable. Based on the release schedule, this feature is expected to be included in future flights at least in January 2024 – that’s too far for a feature like this.

Elsewhere in the Edge universe, insiders have discovered a feature that allows users to lock InPrivate tabs on Android.

Oh, did we also mention that Copilot in Windows, the hotly-anticipated AI assistant tool, is rolling out today on September 26?
