DOOM’s Xbox One X enhancements have been in limbo for a while now, with no one knowing when they were planned to release. Bethesda has now come out and stated that DOOM will get the 4K treatment on Xbox One X tomorrow. [Edit: This article originally said the update would be out May 29. It is actually March 29, tomorrow. I regret the error]

“Every blast of the BFG, every demon glory kill and every chainsaw slice through a Mancubus can be experienced like never before on consoles. Whether you’re a new player or just eager to jump back into your Praetor Suit, you’re going to want to visit Hell to experience it for yourself.”

The update, which is set to release on March 29, boosts the already-stunning graphics up a notch to 4K resolution on Xbox One X. As seen in the video above, slaying demons in 4K makes for one vicious blood bath. Unfortunately, there was no mention of any HDR support like some of Bethesda’s other titles have received.

Bethesda has captured some 4K screenshots of their own, but the company said that they are excited to see the screenshots that players will be capturing in 4K soon. You can tag them on social media with #DOOM to show them off.
