Back in November last year, we reported that Dolby has begun testing its audio app for Windows 10 devices. Today, Dolby has officially released its Atmos app for Windows 10 devices and you can now download in the Windows Store. With Windows 10 Creators Update, Microsoft has added support for Dolby Atmos audio and users can experience it via the Dolby Access app. This app helps you through the configuration of your Windows 10 PC to support Dolby Atmos over HDMI to your Dolby Atmos home theater or sound bar. Dolby Atmos over HDMI is enabled for free when you install this app.

Update:

Earlier we mentioned like Dolby Atmos for Headphones will be available soon based on the information in the Store listing. Dolby team has now clarified that updated Dolby Access app is already submitted in Windows Store and it brings the Dolby Atmos experience to any set of headphones—along with an enhanced surround sound experience for all your favorite 5.1- and 7.1-channel content.

Download the app here from Windows Store.
