DigitalRune Physics engine for Windows Phone 7 updated

DigitalRune sells a physics engine for Windows and also Windows Phone 7 that provides mathematics, collision detection and game physics for 3D games and simulations using the Microsoft .NET Framework or Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0, and which can save developers an immense amount of time bringing a product to market.

A new version has just been released that adds major performance and memory optimizations that did not make it into the initial release.

The above video shows the engine in action, offering smooth performance between 30 and 60 frames per second.

The engine clocks in at around 700 Euros, but an Indie version should soon become available at a reduced price.

Maybe Rovio should consider buying some licenses, considering how much difficulty they have on Windows Phone…
