At Computex today, Dell today revealed a new display technology called Eyesafe. Unlike the other software-only solutions, which distort the entire color output to reduce the most harmful light emissions, Dell’s new Eyesafe display makes use of both hardware and software to intelligently manage light energy at the source. As a result, Eyesafe display reduces harmful blue light and disperses it across the light spectrum, without compromising on color integrity. Dell mentioned that they are the first OEM to offer this integrated solution.

Highlights of Eyesafe display:

  • Lowers harmful blue light emissions
  • Maintains beautifully vivid color accuracy by intelligent management of RGB
  • Meets the Healthe and TüV standards for color balance and blue light reduction; it’s the blue light solution recommended by the Vision Health Advisory Board.

From now on, you will get an option to get this new Eyesafe display in premium Dell laptops. The updated Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and the new Alienware m15 announced today offers this new display option.
