Dell announces the first true enterprise Chromebook

Dell today announced two new Latitude Chromebook Enterprise notebooks. These new Chrombooks can be configured with 8th Gen Intel Core i5 and i7 processors. To serve the needs of mobile workforce, these Chrombooks support LTE broadband. As you expect from Chromebooks in general, these device offer all day battery life and supports fast charging with ExpressCharge technologies. Dell also mentioned that these Chrombooks can withstand the daily rigors of business use, passing 17 MIL-STD tests.

Other highlights:

  • Configurable with 10 localized language keyboards, the Dell Latitude Chromebook Enterprise is available in 50 countries, offering the widest global availability of any Chromebook Enterprise device.
  • They can service and upgrade memory, storage and batteries, and operate the same support model across their entire fleet.
  • The devices are the first Chromebooks to offer pre-OS hardware diagnostics, and Dell ProSupport Suite customers have access to SupportAssist technology, which predicts and proactively identifies user issues before they impact productivity.
