Bend Studio’s cult-favorite open-world survival game, Days Gone, is making a comeback with its remastered version, coming out on April 25. Available only on PS5, the game reportedly has a complete graphical upgrade, including improved lighting, more shadowing, more realistic skies, and greater environmental detail, all made possible by the console’s next-gen capabilities. But this isn’t merely surface-level.

The remaster introduces new gameplay modes, such as the Horde Assault, a survival-arcade twist where players face off against massive Freaker hordes with up to 800 enemies at once. There’s also Speedrun Mode, complete with real-time timers and detailed stat tracking, perfect for those looking to test their efficiency.
For thrill-seekers, Permadeath Mode raises the stakes: if Deacon dies, it’s game over, and your save is wiped. Players can choose between restarting the entire story or just the current act. This feature was added based on community demand, making survival feel more intense and rewarding than ever.
Returning players will love the remastered Photo Mode with advanced lighting controls and time-of-day adjustments. For new players, there’s never been a better time to ride through Oregon’s eerie wilderness.
