Xiaomi’s Black Shark 2 Pro is now officially confirmed and is now slated for a July 30 release. The gaming smartphone will be equipped with the latest Snapdragon 855+ processor, which according to Qualcomm, will give a boost to the overall gaming performance in smartphones. In an official teaser released earlier today, Xiaomi confirmed the presence of SD 855+ SoC in the upcoming gaming smartphone.

Although Xiaomi didn’t reveal any other details except the presence of SD 855+ SoC, rumor has it that the smartphone will feature a Full-HD+ display and pack 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage.

As you can see in the above video, the Black Shark 2 Pro looks a lot like the non-Pro variant that Xiaomi announced a few months ago.

The availability of Snapdragon 855 Plus-powered Black Shark 2 Pro is likely to be confined to the Chinese market, exactly like the non-Pro variant. We will get to learn more about the Black Shark 2 Pro on July 30(Tuesday, next week) as the company launches the gaming smartphone in China.
