Coeliac Disease (pronounced see-liac, also spelt Celiac Disease) is an autoimmune disease, which means that the immune system mistakenly attacks the small intestine. Gluten triggers this immune reaction and is found in wheat, barley and rye, all of which are commonly used in cooking.
Finding somewhere to eat out is pretty tricky if you have Coeliac Disease, as I have found out since being diagnosed two years ago.
Coeliac Map crowd-sources Gluten Free places to eat from around the world with reviews and photos.
When the app starts, you will see a list of places to eat that have been reviewed and rated by Coeliacs based on your location:
You can quickly view the details (address, phone number, etc.), reviews, share to social networks and add your own reviews.
Coeliac Map relies on submissions, so adding a new venue has been made simple. Using Bingâ„¢ search, you can find the address and add your review.
The app also lets you search for places by keywords (e.g. pizza), browse on a map and see the latest places that have been added globally.
