Internet network company Cloudflare is planning to release a free VPN app for iOS and Android to complement its 22.214.171.124 DNS service.
The service will be offered as an upgrade to their Warp app, already available, which makes it easy to set up 126.96.36.199 on your mobile phone.
Cloudflare, however, promises that their service will not be just another VPN. Their service will be optimised for mobile, using the WireGuard VPN protocol, which uses UDP instead of TCP to reduce the need to retransmit and to be more resistant to poor connection quality. It also uses caching and compression and Cloudflare says, unlike other solutions, their service will, in fact, use less battery life and be faster than not using a VPN at all.
Cloudflare also promises to not record any personally identifiable logs or inject ads and plans to fund the service with a paid Warp+ premium service which offers even faster speeds by using Cloudflare’s private Argo network.
Cloudflare is not quite ready to launch, but are offering potential users the ability to wait in line to sign up.
