The Backward Compatibility program lets you play a variety of Xbox 360 games on your Xbox One, and the list of participating titles keeps on growing. Today both Civilization Revolution and Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet are joining the lineup, bringing some classic turn based strategy and an interesting indie title to the mix.

Civilization Revolution was a special entry in the Civilization franchise since it was specifically designed for consoles. It was fairly well received, despite some minor complaints aimed at some of the simplification that was necessary for the game to work well with a controller.

Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet is an indie title from 2011. Published by Microsoft Studios themselves, the game is a side scrolling adventure with some metroidvania elements. Despite coming out over five years ago, the game’s beautiful – albeit slightly twisted, as the name implies – art style makes it still look pretty fresh to this day.

You can find the games in the Xbox Marketplace by following the links below. As always, you can find backward compatible games in your ready to install section on the Xbox One if you own them digitally for the Xbox 360, and physical copies just need to be inserted into the Xbox One to work.

Do you own either of these games for the Xbox 360? Are you excited to play them on your Xbox One? Let us know in the comments below!
