With the roll-out of Chrome 87 a number of features that were in testing are now available to regular users, including new Tab Group features.
Google rolled out tab groups to regular Chrome users in May, but I suspect most users have not even noticed.
The feature lets you label and group your tabs, and will eventually let you collapse and expand tab groups, decluttering the tab bar finally.
However, with Chrome 87, Google also included the new Tab Group Auto-Create feature, unfortunately still behind a flag.
When activated, the feature will automatically create tab groups when multiple pages from the same domain are opened.
When you right-click on the tab group icon you can name the group and set a colour.
The feature is highly recommended for making it easy to manage large groups of open tabs.
