Iranian architect and Windows Phone fan Sam Kurd could not wait till the 21st January to lay his eyes on the next big version of Windows Phone, and created the above vision based on leaks, rumours, and his dreams of what the real OS will look like.

To me the design appears distinctly Android inspired, from the very active lock screen, translucent windows and horizontal-scrolling start screen, but then there is nothing wrong in borrowing a bit from the competition.

One feature which I would particularly appreciate would be app switching by edge swiping, of course already present in Windows 8.1, and so potentially possible in Windows 10 for phones.

Another would be support for Bluetooth keyboards and mice, and streaming desktop apps from the cloud.

Otherwise, while great-looking, it does also remind me of what Android missed from Windows Phone, that being a calm and uncluttered user interface.
