The Surface Pen is a pretty great accessory that comes with the Surface devices. It’s a pretty neat accessory that you can use to sketch or even draw on your Surface devices such as the Surface Pro 4. However, if you aren’t into sketching on a laptop but still want to get a device like the Surface Pro 4, you might be glad to know that Microsoft is now offering a cheaper variant of the Pro 4 without a Surface Pen.

With the Surface Pen included, the entry-level variant of the Surface Pro 4 costs $899 — but if you don’t need the Surface Pen, you can get the device for even cheaper at only $799. This option, unfortunately, is only available for the entry-level variant of the Surface Pro 4 that comes with the Intel Core m3 and 128GB of storage which might be a little disappointing if you are looking to get a slightly more powerful config.

It is important to note that Microsoft will likely introduce a new Surface Pro device in the coming months, so this may not be the best time to get the Surface Pro 4. The upcoming Surface Pro device will, of course, be more expensive than the Surface Pro 4 — so if you aren’t willing to spend a bit more, you might just want to go with the Surface Pro 4 for now.

If you are interested, you can get the Surface Pro 4 without the Surface Pen here for $799 if you live in the United States.
