Things are getting worse for Huawei. Few days back, Google first announced that it will stop supplying Android and related technologies to Huawei due to the ban imposed by the US government. Later, Intel, Qualcomm, and Broadcom announced that they are cutting their ties with Huawei. Even Microsoft stopped selling Huawei devices on Microsoft Store.

Today, BBC reported that ARM will stop working with Huawei. ARM will stop all active contracts, support entitlements, and any pending engagements with Huawei and its subsidiaries. Even though ARM is a UK-based company, its designs include key technology from the US. So, it has to comply with the US ban.

This is a huge blow for Huawei as there is no real alternative for ARM. Huawei can manage without Google and Microsoft by developing its own OS, but without ARM, it will lose access to key chip design that is the basis for its Kirin processors.
