Dona Sarkar has just announced that she is leaving her position as head of the Windows Insider team.
1/ After 3+ years of leading the #WindowsInsiders program, I’ll be moving over to the MS Developer Relations @azureadvocates team to lead advocacy for Power Platform + tech skilling.

Dona has been leading the team since June 2016 when she took over from the popular Gabe Aul. She was a somewhat controversial choice with the community then, being rather different from the typical male engineer as embodied by Aul, and having interests well outside of technology, such as her fashion label Prima Dona.
During her time as head of the Windows Insider team however, she worked hard at community reach-out and expanded the scope of the Insider community from beyond just testing Windows to include education and developer empowerment all over the world.
Consistent with this, Dona will be moving to a new role in the Microsoft Developer Relations team to lead advocacy for Citizen Developers, especially how they use the Power Platform (Microsoft Flow, PowerApps and Power BI).
No replacement has been announced yet.
