snap6.5 The HTC Snap is part of HTC’s concerted effort to take on the Blackberry goliath, but so far the device has been difficult to recommend, not least because HTC has not included it in its official list of devices getting the Windows Mobile 6.5 upgrade, which amongst other attractive features will bring MarketPlace for Windows Mobile to the lucky devices.

Now the Bluetooth Certification Organization, as they are wont to do, have leaked the existence of a Windows Mobile 6.5 build for the HTC Cedar, the Verizon version of the HTC Snap.

Whether the software will roll out to all versions of the device is not known, but given the late arrival of the device and the close proximity of the the release of Windows Mobile 6.5 I would say chances are pretty good.
