Blizzard's Warcraft 3 is finally getting the remastered treatment

Ah, Warcraft 3, what a game! The remaster we’ve all wanted, even the folks who have never heard of Warcraft! Now, it’s coming and it’s coming really soon!
Called Warcraft 3: Reforged, Blizzard is planning on completely redoing major aspects of the original game. Characters will be remodelled, a new UI will be designed, every map will be redone and Blizzard will include a remastered world editor. It wouldn’t be Warcraft 3 without custom levels, after all.
Blizzard has said that the game’s netcode will be restructured, bringing it up to the standards of “modern matchmaking”. Balance changes and quality of life improvements will also be included.
Pre-ordering Warcraft 3 Reforged’s Spoils of War Edition will give you access to additional content across other games in the Warcraft universe. Heartstone will give you “The Third War Card Back”, World of Warcraft will give you a “Meat Wagon Mount” and Heroes of the Storm will grant you access to four Warcraft heroes. There will be other extras in the future for Warcraft 3, Diablo 3, Starcraft and Starcraft 2.
Warcraft 3: Reforged will cost £24.99 or £34.99 for the Spoils of War Edition.
