A very large number of schools, universities and colleges use the Blackboard’s technology solution to deliver course information and communicate with their students.
Unfortunately up till now Windows Phone has never been supported, forcing many fans to switch to iOS or Android.
Today we have the rather great news that Blackboard is developing an official app for Windows Phone called BB Student.
The app is not the full Blackboard Mobile Learn app, but a new app, also available for iOS and Android, which is designed to give quicker access to key information.
- Quickly view updates to your courses and content
- Take assignments and tests , and quizzes
- View course, assignment, and test grades
- View submitted course work including feedback from instructors
- Dismiss announcements in the activity stream
- Additional support for attachments, 3rd party content, and text content items
Unlike BB Mobile Learn BB Student is free, but appears at present to be in private beta. It has recently been updated on the 12/6/2015 and can be seen in the Windows Phone Store here. A Modern version for the desktop can also be seen here.
See the app screen shots below.
Thanks Azer VII for the tip.
