Bing Venue Maps Now Features 9 largest US malls And 148 In Total

Yesterday, WMPoweruser reported that NAVTEQ is launching Destination Maps that allows indoor navigation. Bing had similar mapping solution called Venue Maps with full maps of few US malls. Now today Bing has announced that Bing Venue Maps now shows 9 largest US malls and 148 malls in total. Here is the list of 9 malls,
- Mall of America, MN
- South Coast Plaza, CA
- Woodfield Shopping Center, IL
- King of Prussia Mall, PA
- Millcreek Mall, PA
- Del Amo Fashion Center, CA
- Houston Galleria, TX
- Roosevelt Field, NY
- Tysons Corner Center, VA.
I think Bing Venue Maps will soon be powered by NAVTEQ’s Destinations maps when Nokia-Microsoft deal gets completed in a year or so that the combined service might explore the market of indoor mapping to next level.
