Battlefield 1 and Titanfall 2 received substantial patches today which not only optimize the gameplay experiences, but also add a lot of content. Let’s start off with Battlefield 1, shall we? Battlefield 1 received its long-awaited May update when the month is basically coming to a close. The biggest changes, apart from the balancing, has to the the fact that Premium Friends is back. Premium Friends allows people to share your Premium subscription if they’re playing with you. Lastly, flying planes is a little easier now because they finally managed to fix the slightly unruly controls.

Titanfall 2 got the bigger update this time around though. Aside from the usual balancing, Titanfall 2 got the Monarch’s Reign update which adds a new Titan and map. The new Titan is a mid-range Vanguard-class machine which can upgrade itself on the battlefield through her unique Upgrade Core. Pilots select a path of upgrades and try to survive long enough to reach her final form. It’s amazing to play with!

The Relic map is great too. Set among the old wreck of the IMC carrier IMS Odyssey, Relic is a worksite where Pilots have created clever wall running routes by hanging pieces of the wreckage between buildings. The map consists of the wreck of the Odyssey in the center of the map that splits the two town areas. Created with frontlines in mind, the gameplay is all about assaulting and controlling the center and engaging in firefights from the great viewpoints of the ship against the varied defensible positions in the Town.

Both of these games are amazing and if you haven’t had the chance to purchase them, you should! While Battlefield 1 is clearly the bigger hit and more popular title, Titanfall 2 is still a solid experience with a stellar campaign. You should buy it for its campaign alone, it’s that good.
