Yesterday marked the 100 year anniversary of the end of the First World War. In celebration, Battlefield 1 players partook in a cease-fire.
A video of the event was posted to the official Battlefield subreddit. While the cease-fire didn’t last long, players did make sure to end it in glorious murder fashion – the typical gamer end to a peaceful day.
The event was shared by DICE’s Jan David Hassel on Twitter. “This is the 100 Year Anniversary of the End of WW1. On the 11th Hour we stopped fighting,” Hassel said.

While the peaceful moment didn’t last long, seeing anything like this is still a surprise.
