So, you want to play Tetris on your new Windows Phone, eh? But you’re not sure which version to buy from the Marketplace? No worries, just watch the video and read the rest of this post!

Tetris® (1st Place)Tetris

This is the official Tetris game and is the best Tetris title you can buy! The controls are perfect, the visuals are great, the sounds are spot-on , and the lasting value is far above the others. Since it is an Xbox Live title, you get achievements and leaderboards, which will help bring you back to play more. You also get a Variant mode, where you play through modified gameplay styles of Tetris, adding greatly to the replayability of the game. Find it in the Marketplace for $4.99

Tetrada (2nd Place)Tetrada1

If $4.99 is too much for you, this version of Tetris is almost as good. It, however, lacks music and all the great replay value the official Tetris game has. The controls are workable, and the gameplay is almost like the actual Tetris game. I would recommend the official Tetris title, but you can find this in the Marketplace for $1.99

Metro Blocks (3rd Place)

This game has good controls and the background song is the actual Tetris music, but the visuals aren’t too great and the gameplay is still inferior compared to the real Tetris. You can pick it up in the Marketplace for $0.99

Tetris7 (4th Place)

This is the only free game, but it’s not even worth considering. The visuals need lots of work (it doesn’t show the projections of where your piece will fall), there’s no sounds at all, and the controls are extremely basic. But it’s in the Marketplace for free.

Metris (5th Place)

And in last place arrives Metris. The controls are decent, but the visuals need lots of work, and it also has no sounds like Tetris7. You’ll be happier with any of the three earlier titles. Metris is in the Marketplace for $0.99
