Earlier today Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 855 Plus SoC which is focused at improving the gaming experience on smartphones. With titles like PUBG and Call of Duty available on phones, the hardware needs a step up to make sure it can run graphics intensive games without major issues.

Just after the announcement of Snapdragon 855 Plus, ASUS has confirmed that they’re working on a successor of the ROG phone which will feature the new SoC. The new Snapdragon 855 Plus uses a Kryo 485 CPU Prime core clocked up to 2.96GHz and Adreno 640. The new SoC should be able to deliver a performance boost of 4.2% and a graphics boost of 15% when compared to the existing Snapdragon 855 SoC.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the device at the moment but ASUS has confirmed that more news will be shared in the coming weeks. Although, we do know that the new device will pose a 120 Hz screen, thanks to a Weibo leak.
