We have written about this mysterious device before, but Mobile-review.com has ripped away the veils and have given us our first good look at the device.

The report the device, has about the same dimensions as the HTC Max 4G and iPhone, sports a 800×480 flush 3.5 inch screen, comes with 256 MB RAM and 256 MB Flash, with an additional 4GB on board and microSD expansion, and also a 5 megapixel camera.

Disappointingly one of the main features that had us excited, the 800 Mhz Marvell processor, has fallen by the wayside, and the smartphone will instead sport a 528 Mhz Qualcom MS7200A processor.

Mobile-review go on to say the built-quality is excellent, featuring metal, soft touch plastic and even leather. They felt the hand-feel, due to the rounded corners were very good, and made the device feel smaller than it was.

Regarding Asus’s Glide interface, they felt the quality was comparable to TouchFlo3D, and found the device responsive.

The device is apparently targeted for a late Q1 or early Q2 2009 release. Pricing is unknown, but Mobile-review speculates due to the current economic conditions it may be cheaper than expected.
