October 27 was a busy day and saw the release of three major AAA games with Assassin’s Creed Origins, Wolfenstein II, and Super Mario Odyssey. While they’ve only been out for a few days, they are already topping physical sales charts in the UK. According to GFK Chart Track (via Eurogamer), the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series was the best seller last week, with the number of launch sales units mirroring those of Syndicate.

Super Mario Odyssey followed closely behind at number two, however Wolfenstein II was edged out by FIFA 18 for the third spot. Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus sits at number four, with physical sales down by more than half compared to the first. It’s important to remember that GFK Chart Track only accounts for physical sales, not digital, so Wolfenstein II may not be in as bad of a spot as this metric indicates.

The top 10 UK games for the week ending October 30 are as follows:

  1. Assassin’s Creed Origins
  2. Super Mario Odyssey
  3. FIFA 18
  4. Wolfenstein 2
  5. Gran Turismo: Sport
  6. Grand Theft Auto 5
  7. Destiny 2
  8. South Park: The Fractured But Whole
  9. Middle-earth: Shadow of War
  10. WWE 2K18
