Apologies for all the Apple news, but at least Apple only releases a phone once per year.

Apple’s new iPhone lacks useful features like NFC and Wireless Charging, which comes standard on the Nokia Lumia 920.

Now Apple’s Senior VP Phil Schiller has explained why iPhone users were actually better off not burdened with the new technology.

He told All Things D "Passbook does the kinds of things customers need today," but did not add Apple will be ready to sell them a new iPhone with the feature after everyone else have done the ground breaking work.

On Wireless Charging he showed that he did not think too much of the iSheep, saying:

"Having to create another device you have to plug into the wall is actually, for most situations, more complicated."

It seems Phil does not quite understand that anything that will charge his precious phone will have to be plugged in in any case.

To add insult to injury, he did not think the adaptor he will be selling for $29 and $39 which would allow new iPhone 5 owners to use their old accessories complicated at all.

I guess the reality distortion field did not die with Steve Jobs after all…
